Look what I bought today:

I have been eyeballing these shoes every time I go into Dillards for the past 2 months. I couldn't justify the $89.00 to buy them, so I always pass them by. Today, they were $59.99 PLUS 30% off AND I had a gift card. BAM! They're in my closet :-D I love buying shoes. Especially when I wait for the sale.

This is a purely superficial post.

*Whew*

We just got home from the lake. It's a lot of work going to the lake, and we didn't even have Cooper! We had a lot of fun though. We drove down with Jill and Jason, Abby and Riley met us down there.

We made a fire Friday night and cooked rubbery burgers. lol. They were nasty as hell. We grilled Zucchini and that was the best part of the meal for sure. I intended to go into Eufaula for "Whole Hog" <-- totally a country, hick festival/carnival... but it was pretty late by the time we got done cooking and cleaning up dinner. Saturday we went out on the boat all day. It was great. We laid out, rode the jet skis, drank some malibu, laid out more... drank more... Did I mention we laid out?! Yeah. I look like a freaking lobster today. I was stupid... but hopefully this sunburn will turn into a tan and not just peel off.

Cooper actually acted excited to see us when we picked him up from Oma's. Normally he whines and grunts when we pick him up because he wants me to hold him... but today he shreaked with excitement. :) It was great to see him. We were gone for two nights, which is the longest since he was born.

Philip is working days this week, but he's working 12 hours shifts monday, tuesday, wednesday, friday, saturday, sunday and monday. Yeah. It is going to suck... but at least he'll be home at night instead of gone all night. Ugggggh.

Favorite WW obsession this week: Grilled zucchini!!

Cooper,

You are so stinkin' cute these days. You're starting to show a lot of personality in the things you do. It cracks me up because you laugh a lot when you're getting really sleepy. Daddy and I have a joke, we know you're sleepy when you laugh at NOTHING. Literally nothing. I look at you and you laugh and laugh and laugh. It's great.

I've noticed within the past couple of days you're obsessed with Sonic cups. I brought one home tonight and you cried when it was out of your sight. You get your intense 'serious' face when you're trying to grab the straw.

I don't think you're close to crawling yet... but you are getting closer. You roll all over the place all the time! I've been putting your toys in front of you just out of your reach to see if you will wriggle your way up to get them. You manage to squirm up there to get it.. but it's not really crawling yet.

The other day, Daddy was holding you. It was time to eat so I reached my arms out to get you. You looked at me, then turned your head back to Daddy and wrapped your arms around his neck... like you were saying "No I want my Daddy!" Again, so stinkin' cute. Your face always lights up when Daddy comes into the room.

You're getting to be such a good sleeper! Thank you, thank you, thank you, for that. You have your little comfort items that help you sleep (mr. worm and your blanket).

And, of course, you're still babbling all the time. Mamamama.... dadadadada.... nananana. Those are your favorite noises.

I love you lots baby, and can't wait for the exciting things in the months to come!

Ah. What a relaxing day. Annette offered to have Cooper spend the night last night. Philip was working too, so I just did NOTHING all night long. It was great. I watched a couple of movies on demand I've been wanting to see (that Philip wouldn't watch with me) Twilight and Revolutionary Road. I thought Twilight was good, but not great. It didn't quite live up to all the hype. I was expecting Revolutionary Road to be depressing and awful. I actually kind of liked it. It was kind of sad... but the acting really was amazing. I felt so wrapped up in the characters I actually started crying when the couple would fight because I felt so emotionally involved in the movie. That like NEVER happens to me. It also made me stop and think about my own marriage. Anyway. I liked it.

I was going to go into the office today, but I woke up late with a headache so I'm just chillin at the house today. It's nice to be home this week.

And, I'm going to WW tonight... ugh. I'm not feeling to hopeful about my weight loss this week, but we'll see.

I'm back on the WW wagon. I fell off for a while (and gained 7 pounds back :-/ ) but I'm back on! Hopefully with this and P90 I'll be in shape in no time ;-)

I had a fun birthday! Philip surprised me with a party. I kind of knew something was going on, but I didn't exactly know what it was. We had a swimming party, and ate and drank... it was lots of fun :) I love being surprised. Here are a few pics from the partaay.

My husband looks like a goober.

Cooper is doing so much lately! He isn't crawling yet, but in the past few days he's been kind of pushing himself backward with his arms when he lays on his stomach..... so I think crawling is coming soon. He is saying "Mama" and "Dada" and now he says "Na Na" when he wants to eat. I have nooo idea where that came from, but is ridiculously cute. He is still babbling a lot. And he still loves his jumperoo! I think we're about done with the swing... he's pretty much outgrown it :(

Cooper is also sleeping so much better! The other day, I laid him down AWAKE in his bed for a nap and he just went to sleep. Just like that. It was so crazy and awesome. Nighttime sleeping is better too. I think having a routine and his blanket and his worm are very helpful. I've been keeping the blanket and worm with him at all times when he sleeps so he associated them with sleeping. I dunno if it helps or not... but SOMETHING is working so I'll keep doing it ;-)

Here are a couple more pictures from when we went swimming the other day. I couldn't believe it, but Cooper kept those sunglasses on almost the whole time we were in the pool.

My parents are leaving for Alaska for the next 2 weeks. Thankfully Philip got some time off in there and gets to work some days during the day (6a-6p) so I'm only going be alone overnight with Cooper one night in the next 2 weeks. :) It's going to be fun to be "normal" for a little while.
